Local Pick-Up

We have to list this first, of course. Our clients absolutely love this! We have a regular local pick-up schedule and offer this service for a nominal $25 fee that is simply deducted from the clients commission. Smaller items may be FREE in many cases. We show up on-time, load the item and leave you with an itemized receipt. All you have to do is be home to open the door. How easy it that!?

Online Auction

Online auction sites have evolved over the years. Simply using a single platform to auction every item we sell is now considered "old school." Many sites are not appropriate for certain types of items. If not marketed correctly an item may sell for below its actual value and the seller is stuck and must sell it at the final bid price.

Consignment For Schools harnesses several auction platforms to sell items to target a specific market creating higher value final bids. Our extensive experience and flexibility has given us the edge over single platform auction companies.

Online Consignment

There are many occasions when putting something up for auction isn't the best way to sell an item. Online consignment focuses on selling items locally and at a fixed price. We also have the ability to raise and lower pricing on-demand and to negotiate directly with a potential buyer. The final sale is normally cash-and-carry and eliminates the fee's associated with online auctions (see fee schedule below).

Consignment For Schools handles all the buyer interaction and is aggressive in getting the highest price possible at the time the item is for sale. We have been doing this for years and we love it!

Fees

It is simple. A minimum of 10% (or more if you want) of the final selling price is donated to the local school of our clients choice. The remainder is split 65% to our client and 35% to Consignment For Schools.

Or,

If you donate your item we will give 70% of the final selling price to the local school of our clients choice and Consignment For Schools will only receive 30%. If you are being generous than so can we!

Online Consignment Sale (cash and carry):

Item #1 Selling Price = $100
10% To School = $10
Balance = $90
CFS Commission ($90 x 35%) = $31.50
Client Amount ($90 x 65%): $58.50

Online Auction Sale:

Item #2 Selling Price = $100
10% To School = $10
Balance = $90
CFS Commission ($90 x 35%) = $31.50
Auction Posting and Transaction Charges* = $8
Client Amount After Auction Fees = $50.50
